Model Kit World vol. 240 - 1/144 Twin Gattling Gun Review

I've just assembled the 1/144 Twin Gattling Gun for HGUC Unicorn Gundam came together with the Hong Kong Model Kit World magazine vol. 240 and here's the quick review and pictures ;)

  • Plastics Quality - Pretty good for the price I pay ;)
  • Scale and proportion - Nicely fitted on HG :)
  • Colour - It is all gray... do whatever you like :p
  • Detailing - Pretty good :)

As this is a 1/144 scale, you could expect small parts, and small parts are easily broken so be gentle when you play with it... I actually broken the connector at the back of the Twin Gattling Gun and have to super-glue them back :p

Here's the assembled Twin Gattling Gun, with a bit of colouring ;)

I did a bit of modification to the Gattling Gun and my HGUC RX-78-2 ver.30th by inserting magnet into them, and here's the results ;)

This accessory is great for modding so you guys might want to get more than 1 set ;)

1/144 Gattling Gun for HGUC Unicorn Gundam (and Others)

I was visiting bookstore today and stumbled upon a Hong Kong model kit magazine, in Chinese of cause, "Model Kit World" (机动月刊) vol. 240 (01.Dec.2010) comes with a 1/144 Gattling Gun for HGUC Unicorn Gundam!

I have bought the last copy from the bookstore so I won't be able to help anyone to get it... instead, for those of you who are interested, you might want to check out bookstores at your place, particularly Indian bookstores as they sell good variety of magazines, and get your own copy(ies), as you need 3 to make a FA Unicorn ;)

Here's the front and back cover of the magazine in case you do not read Chinese ;)

Happy hunting ;)

MG RX-78-2 One Year War Version (Bandai)

Hi there :) I have taken a long break from blogging celebrating Chinese New Year :p How is everyone?

I'm sure by now you guys would know that I am more a straight-build guy, and I would like to share with you some shots of my 1st MG model, from Bandai of course, RX-78-2 One Year War version.

At first, I assemble this MG without panel lining and decals... at time yet to learn the know-how :p I only come to get a grip of panel lining after assembling a V-Dash for my friend's shop so I take my OYW apart and did some panel lining and apply the decals, and I was amazed that the panel lining and decals inject more life into the gunpla!

More to my surprise, I have submitted an entry to Gundam Guy's G-SHOT! Best Straight Build Category with my RX-78-2 OYW, and was selected as one of the Preliminary Rounds Finalists!

Here are more shots of my RX-78-2 One Year War version ;)
