Covers of the Instruction Manual

Section 1: Runners

The detailing are very nice, but the plastics is a bit too soft so be caution trimming ;) There are also a big amount of unused parts as most of the runners are from the Nu Gundoom.

Section 2: Decals and Stickers

The foil stickers are pretty nicely done and I do not have any issue applying them. However, the is also a piece of semi-transparent water decal sheet for you to create the urban camo without painting ;)

Section 3: The Legs

Parts separation is very nicely done. MC Model have made a nice improvement on the hip joint instead of the previous ball-joint so kudos to MC Model ;)

* For those who wanted the old hip joints, the parts for the tights and groin are available too ;)

Middle: MC Model Nu Gundoom
Right: MC Model Nu Gundoom Ground Type

The Improved Hip Joint

Section 4: The Waist

The skirt armors are exactly as per the Nu Gundoom, but the groin section have been changed to incorporate the improved hip joint ;)

Comparison, Up-skirt :P

Section 5: The Chest

The chest is exactly as per the MC Model Nu Gundoom ;)

Comparison

Section 6: The Head

Very nicely done and the head looks awesome ;)

Section 7: The Hands

There are 4 pairs of hands... closed fist, open hand, beam saber hands, and rifle holding hands ;)

Right Hands

Left Hands

Section 8: The Shoulders

Pretty straight-forward build :)

Section 9: Weaponry

Armor-Piecing Gattling Gun

Pretty BIG gun for a HG kit! This gun is even bigger then the gattling guns of MG Unicorn, Strike+IWSP and Gouf Custom, and can rival MG Heavyarm if not bigger!

Parts separation is excellent but a bit strange :P The back handle can be detached for different mount setting but the mount point on the backpack could use a re-design...

I recommend to glue the side pieces of the backpack, and some small pieces on the gattling gun itself to prevent them from falling while posing.

Overall, this weapon is pretty awesome ;)

* I actually missed out this piece while taking picture... will take more when I do the urban camouflage effect later ;)

Hyper Bazooka

I know MC Model is lazy to change the mold, but I am still pleasantly surprised that they actually included 2x Hyper Bazooka into the package ;)

Beam Rifle

Nice detailing ;)

Shield

I colored the emblem with metallic blue instead of red ;) Nice detailing as usual :)

Claw Shield

I like to call this the "Claw Shield" :)

The build is pretty solid, but I do recommend to glue the smaller pieces ;) This is a very good addition to the arsenal of weaponry despite this is copied from Bandai System Weapons 003 :P

Spike Shield

Spike Shield is just the name I call this :P

MC Model actually gave a separate shield instead of exchangeable parts with the Claw Shield above, as in Bandai System Weapons 003, which is very good for consumer like me so they deserve a brownie point here ;)

Shield Extender

Some of you might be saying "What the hxxx is this?" So I am showing an example of this piece in action in 2 pictures below with the Claw Shield :P

This Shield Extender works with all 3 shields comes with this kit, but particularly well with the Claw Shield and the Spike Shield... it allows the shields to be mounted in the front of the fist instead of the middle of the forearm, extending the reach of the shield for melee combat... See 2 pictures down... does it some how resemble Banshee's left arm?

For some of you who are more pro, quite some potential here for added detailing ;)

Section 10: Mecha without Gattling Gun Backpack ;)

Due to the improved hip joint, the legs are elongated so this kit is a bit taller than the existing HG Nu Gundoom ;)

Section 11: Ready for Action!

With the backpack plus the gattling gun ;)

Section 12: Action Pose ;)

This is a HG, and the Gattling Gun is pretty big (bigger then MG Unicorn, Strike+IWSP and Gouf Custom's Gattling Guns) so do expect to have some issue trying to hold it with 1 hand :P

I actually detached the back handle and hold on to the middle handle with the right hand as this makes it cooler in my opinion ;)

Quick Review

Plastic Quality and Detailing

Detailing for this kit is excellent as the usual MC Model reputation :) However, the plastic is the softest of all MC Model kit so far, so you have to take extra caution when trimming.

Articulations

Articulations are very good for a HG kit!

  • Head/Neck: Good!
  • Shoulder: Excellent!
  • Arm/Elbow: Very Good!
  • Wrist: Normal.
  • Hand: Good.
  • Waist: Good.
  • Skirt Armour: Good.
  • Hip/Tight: Excellent!
  • Knee: Good.
  • Ankle: Good.

Looks and Feels

The detailing is very good and I do like the TITANS color scheme ;) The plastic quality is very soft so you have to be careful when dealing with trimming, sanding and coloring.

As though everyone thought that MC Model is milking the Nu Gundoom mold, there is actually an improvement at the hip joint system making it highly articulated but with this flexibility, sturdiness is compromised a little ;)

Although I have not done it, but you can also assemble the old (space type) backpack with the twin-bazooka configuration as all the parts are included! How I wish they include the funnels too :P

The snap-fit is very nicely done as I do not have any issue at all snap-fitting the whole kit. The joints are also tight enough to hold the position even with some challenging poses but different story if posing with the heavy gattling gun :P

Overall, this kit is VERY nice, and I would give it a 10/10 if we compare with the original HGUC Nu Gundam by Bandai! Although there are too many Nu Gundoom by MC Model, I still find that this is a nice addition to the family ;) Do get this if your budget allowed :P

There's no Bandai original for this model so I won't say the usual ;)

Fin ;)
